Every student deserves to begin the school year prepared, confident, and supported.
Led by NBA player Ron Holland II and The Holland Group Foundation, Ready for Greatness brings together the City of Duncanville, Duncanville ISD, corporate sponsors, healthcare professionals, and community volunteers to make a meaningful difference for students and families.
With participation from the City's Mayor, elected officials, and Duncanville ISD Superintendent, this signature initiative reflects the power of civic leadership, education, and community partnerships working together.

Mental Health Awareness Initiative
Mental health is health. Yet too many young people and families in our community face emotional and psychological challenges without the support or resources they need.
Mind Over Matter is our mental health awareness initiative, designed to reduce stigma, promote open conversations, and connect community members with mental health resources and support.
Through community events, educational programming, and partnerships with mental health professionals, we work to create safe spaces where mental wellness is prioritized, celebrated, and supported.

Preparing for What's Next.
Education opens doors, but we believe success has more than one pathway. Rise. Set. Ready. is an upcoming initiative designed to help young people explore opportunities beyond the classroom, whether through college, trade schools, apprenticeships, entrepreneurship, or entering the workforce.
We also recognize that preparing for the future goes beyond academics. Confidence, emotional well-being, and mental health play an important role in navigating life's challenges and making informed decisions.
Our goal is to equip young people with the knowledge, practical skills, resources, and support to pursue their goals and build a future they can be proud of.
